Google Platform Rocks

Google has developed many different applications. They realised that people want to do things for themselves - especially in small businesses. Who needs to write code these days, with all the templates and easy-to-use platforms there are to work on. Better still, who can fast-track you to customising your own.

I don’t know about you, but trying to have a conversation about your basic website needs to some developers can be really frustrating. He is not going to teach you how to make your own site. He wants you to pay him to do it, so let’s not undervalue the services of a good developer though - that would be an injustice.

If you don’t know or understand basic computer talk, but need a website, and want to learn by someone, where on earth do you go? The aftercare rates of even some template sites can be quite high.

There is room in the market for everyone. The professional developer isn’t going to be threatened by the likes of a self-built website. Developers have complimented me on how well I pull mine off given I don't write code. I haven’t needed to.

It’s been easy to explain and validate even more why using the overall Google Platform is the ultimate in creating small websites for businesses who are just starting out. It also reaffirms to me why I love working in Google Applications so much.

If fact, there are a heap of online programmes people that don’t require payment for the software. This is of great use to the new small business owner.

Google Applications are much bigger than I can ever possibly learn, and I need to keep my finger on the pulse just to keep up with the updates. Using Google Applications is not unprofessional - if it was, then millions of people around the world wouldn’t be using them daily for their businesses - not to mention the Education Sector.

Successful businesses have been built just for training in how to use the many Google Applications - though they are not as ‘simple’ as some people think. I have spent the last five years self-training, and I am not afraid to say that I am still learning. It also make it a pleasure to teach you how to get around any initial limitations.

The platform you use is as irrelevant as the “car” you drive, if it’s going to get you to the same place and is reliable. Upgrade and grow with your business, and if it isn’t broke then it doesn’t need fixing.

If you are new, and just starting out, let’s teach you a cost effective independent way to get started. Either that, or I can build you a website (possibly even under my Pro Bono terms) for you to maintain thereafter. It’s a win-win situation, if you are going to manage the site yourself without being charged and arm and a leg to do so. Having a website is important in any business these days, but allowing it to sink because of web developer costs should be a crime in itself.

There are people out there who will find anything to criticise in your site. But let it be known, that the vessel you use to get to your potential customer must have worked in the first place, as they never-the-less clicked on my site and every click counts to move it up the search engine.
